TexasGlobal
Market research, user research, content strategy, information architecture, brand iteration, visual design.
When UT-Austin’s International office rebranded as UT Global, they needed a site reflecting their true worldwide reach. My team crafted a new content strategy, site architecture and visual design system, creating an interactive, browser-based map visualization along the way.

Sitemap Strategy
After SEO audits and client discovery sessions, we created a content optimization strategy to inform our core site architecture and the audiences to be prioritized.
Wireframing
An iterative wire process hammered out functionality and content hierarchy, including reusable content types and modular fields. This dictated our database build and set clear constraints for our design system.
Visual Design
A mobile-first methodology makes sure our design system components optimally respond across devices, regardless of content shortages or overages.
Data Visualization
UT Global keeps an active dataset representing UT-Austin’s academic activity across the world. Our D3.js solution allows users to pan and zoom around earth, clicking-through to specific country pages with more detail.
Modular Page Templates
Flexible page layouts help content creators keep their messaging fresh while syncing related-content across pages to help users discover more of the site.
Annotated Visual Design System
In addition to creating a library of pieces for easily deployment as the site grows, thoroughly spec’d designs—styleguides, components and pages — let dev confidently get to writing code instead of questioning front-end functionality or hexcodes.
